Turtle Study Buddy is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. Guest mode stores a nickname and study preferences in the learner’s browser.

AI questions

When live AI is enabled, the question and a short recent conversation context are sent through the site’s server-side Cloudflare function to generate a tutoring response. API credentials are not placed in browser code.

Voice

Neural text-to-speech runs in the browser. The speech model is downloaded to the device; no payment account is required for voice generation.

Age-aware design

Use a nickname rather than a real full name. Do not put passwords, addresses, school IDs or other private information into study questions.

Deletion

Guest data can be reset from My Profile. Production account deletion controls will be added before persistent accounts are introduced.
